Welcome to Animal Biosolutions, Applied Research!

We are dedicated to supporting the development of biological solutions that enhance animal health, nutrition and sustainability. Our team consists of 11 experienced Scientists and Research Associates based in Arkansas (US) and Lyngby (Denmark). As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving application research activities to support our pipeline for feed additives (probiotics,

enzymes and other biological solutions), working closely with contract research organizations, universities, and at our Fayetteville Arkansas poultry research site. Your role will encompass a variety of responsibilities, including designing and managing in vivo trials, as well as using your innovative mindset and strong nutritional background to explore and establish mode of action research trials. We emphasize close collaboration across functions, disciplines, and time zones, and provide numerous opportunities for personal and professional growth.

In this role you'll make an impact by:

  • Facilitating the development of new biological solutions for production animals (monogastrics) in cross-functional project teams utilizing your strong feed stuff and nutritional knowledge

  • Driving the design, analysis, and reporting of in vivo studies performed at our Arkansas site, with external research organizations and with universities when relevant

  • Communicating your knowledge and research results both internally, externally and via scientific papers

  • Keeping up to date on industry trends and scientific literature within the field

  • Leading colleagues in sample collection and analysis of samples in the lab as needed.

To succeed you must have:

  • A PhD within the production animal nutrition and physiology (monogastrics - poultry and/or swine),

  • Broad knowledge, and a proven scientific track-record, within the field of monogastrics

  • A strong professional network with universities and research organizations, industry experience is a plus

  • Familiarity with experimental designs, in vivo studies, and animal sampling

  • Knowledge of nutritional and molecular laboratory techniques is a plus

  • Competency in the use of statistics, data management and analytical software (e.g. SAS, JMP, R or Python)

  • Collaborative, positive and open mindset

  • A strong team ethic with good communication and networking skills

  • The ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship currently or in the future

Location: Fayetteville, AR

Expected salary range:

Senior Scientist: $100,000 - $110,000

Scientist: $85,000 - $99,000
