Description

TRISTAR is seeking several Engineering Technician II for our government customer in Norfolk, VA, Seattle/Bremerton, WA & San Diego, CA

  • The Technician shall serve as the OSR in the following locations Norfolk, VA, Seattle/Bremerton, WA, and San Diego, CA and be the point of contact between the Government Installation Managers, SY Maintenance Teams, Program Offices and other Resource Branches regarding the respective installation activities and other technical support related to the contract

Position Responsibilities

  • Process (NAVSEA SL720-AAMAN-030)
  • Shipboard Operations: command hierarchy, shipboard protocol, fire prevention, fire safety
  • Technical Competencies: Shipboard services for identified systems per technical documentation, and Contractor Technical Work Document (CTWD- when required)
  • Personal Competencies: Project Management, presentation, writing, computer (MS Project, Word, PowerPoint etc.), and verbal communication
  • Navy Processes: ship/event scheduling, operational security, Work Authorization Forms and Tag-out, Configuration Management and ship change document processing per the Navy Modernization
  • Assist with visit request information/contacts for the Area of Responsibility
  • Attend meetings as required: Work Integration Package Reviews, Work Integration Package Conferences, Maintenance Teams Installation Status Meetings
Requirements
  • Conceptual knowledge installation/maintenance, technical support, and check-out processes
  • Experience with reporting (Installation and/or Ship Status Reports, TAVR)
  • Be knowledgeable of adherence documents including safety, environmental, workmanship, quality and technical instructions often identified per Navy and Local Standard Items/Instructions
  • Understanding of the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM) and the Navy Modernization Process
  • Understanding requirements of System Operational Verification Tests and Test Plans
  • Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Safety Training
  • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Fiber Optic Training (Cableway, Connector Fab, and QA)
  • OSHA 10-hour Maritime #7615 Shipyard Training
  • MUST be a US Citizen
  • An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required or the ability to obtain one
