Primary Purpose Process requests for materials or services and procuring them in a timely and cost-effective manner meeting business requirements and specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Review system generated purchase requisitions for products and services demands, and generate Purchase Orders against established contracts or master agreements executed.
- Execute MSAs, amendments, and change orders, qualify vendors, evaluate proposals, negotiate best prices and payment terms, cost savings for purchased goods and services. Lead RFx (Request for Quote (RFQ), Request for Information (RFI) or Request for Proposal (RFP)).
- Prepare and facilitate the development of documents in consultation with Business Unit.
- Provide support to team lead and team as needed.
- Represent Business Unit requirements within team; ensure procurement process support.
- Adhere to best practices in conducting category work.
- Provide day-to-day project management of assigned category activities.
- Monitor the spend in collaboration with Business Unit and process compliance.
- Monitor implementation of contracted agreements and manages contract compliance and performance monitoring.
- Conduct spend analysis, market/vendor research and supplier relationship management activities as needed.
- Work with Procurement Analysts as needed.
- Provide relationship management, continuous improvement and other activities.
- Interact with cross-functional team members, internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide back-up to for other members of the Procurement team.
- Provide support on project matters as assigned; strategically request information from business users and communicate directly as it relates to contractual scopes of work, deliveries of materials and/or services, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
Experience
- 5+ years of related experience (strategic sourcing, category management and supplier management) or equivalent training and/or experience required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Mid-level understanding of supply categories within area of assigned concentration.
- Experience in conducting RFx (Request for Quote (RFQ), Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP)) process and negotiations.
- Solid quantitative and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in team setting and support change management within organization.
- Self-starter with good interpersonal skills.
Licenses and Certifications
- CPSM, CSM, CPSD, CPIM and / or CSCP certification(s) preferred.
HYBRID: Work a combination of onsite and remote days each week, typically 3 days per week onsite.
