Salary range:
The salary range for this position is $66,737-$80,034. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by experience level. See Postdoctoral Scholar Scale for the salary range. "Off-scale salaries", i.e. a salary that is higher than the published system-wide salary at the designated experience, are offered when necessary to meet competitive conditions. Application Window Open date: February 12, 2025 Next review date: Saturday, Mar 15, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Thursday, Feb 12, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The The McNaughton Lab at UCI is seeking a postdoctoral researcher with interest and experience in systems and computational neuroscience to investigate hippocampal-cortical interactions, memory and memory consolidation using advanced neuro-ensemble recording methods (e.g.,in vivo 2-photon Ca2+ imaging, multielectrode array recording). We are interested in topics like the role of sleep phases in memory consolidation, top-down vs bottom-up influences on cortical representations of virtual environments, extraction of schemas from episodic memory, and the effects of complex experience on cortical representational dynamics. Preference will be given to candidates with strong quantitative skills and technical expertise in relevant areas, and a record of productivity.
