Precise is seeking a Full stack Java Software Developer. If you are a qualified Software Developer and are interested in challenging new environment with opportunity for growth, we would like to meet with you.

The candidate should be able to have experience in strong systems, software, cloud, and Agile experience to support a complex program to provide Agile development and operations and maintenance for critical system in support of the program.

Position Summary

You will be part of an exciting ecosystem, participating with federal employees and other contractors, in a team-based DevOps approach to deliver mission value cost-effectively and responsively, and collaboratively with other companies to architect, design, build, deliver, and enhance highly available, scalable, real time systems. You will exercise your judgment in determining and recommending the best designs based on customer business objectives, timelines and other resource constraints. You will participate in and/or direct major deliverables of projects through all aspects of the software development lifecycle including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding and unit testing.

A qualified candidate must be a USC/GC/EAD have or be able to attain a Public Trust clearance. FDA experience and/or an existing Public Trust clearance is ideal.

Skills/Requirements

  • Proven experience with design, develop, test and deploy in your current and previous experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Angular, Spring / Spring Boot, Java, JavaScript, Apache, RHEL OS, Jenkins, Git, Jira.
  • Understanding of software processes and methodologies and ability to speak intelligently about them.
  • Experience with DevOps frameworks
  • Knowledge of software design patterns
  • Proficiency with common Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and better development practices
  • Proficiency with Agile management tools such as the Atlassian suite
  • Must be USC/GC/EAD and have the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance, at minimum
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Skills (Desired)

  • Oracle DB, Hibernate, JPA, Mongo or Postgres, Jetty, Microservices, Openshift, Gradle, Maven, Ant, Junit, Bitbucket, Cucumber, Gitlab, SonarQube, CI/CD pipeline, Jenkins, Git, Cloudwatch, Jira, Confluence, Eclipdr.
  • 508 experience/expertise.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
  • Experience supporting Agile projects for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Education

Typically requires BS degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 - 10 years of prior relevant experience

May possess a certifications in technical domain.
