Director, Reconciliation Manager

We are seeking an experienced Reconciliation Director with a strategic lens and strong control mindset in a fast-paced broker-dealer, leading both bank and position reconciliations. He/she is responsible for ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately reconciled in company records. He/she works closely with Operations and Finance leadership to resolve escalated discrepancies, investigate issues, and provide insights for decision-making. This job requires strong analytical and communication skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of financial regulations and reconciliation processes. What you will be doing:

• Leading the Reconciliation area to achieve functional and control objectives.
• Setting strategic priorities to improve the team productivity and effectiveness.
• Driving new system enhancements and process initiatives.
• Seeking opportunities to implement industry best practices as appropriate.
• Resolving the most complex or serious issues.
• Building relationships with critical internal stakeholders to assess issues and recommend solutions.
• Recruiting, motivating, and developing talent, maximizing individual growth and their ability to function as a team.
• Ensuring the team is continuously educated on policies and procedures and understands the importance of reconciliation to financial controls.
• Developing and executing supervisory controls to meet regulatory requirements.

What you will bring to the team:

• FINRA Series 24 license required.
• Bachelor's degree, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10-15 years of total work experience with at least 5 years in management preferred.
• Experience in brokerage operations or reconciliations preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with leadership across the organization.
• Enthusiasm to coach and inspire the team and team managers.
• Attention to detail, dedication to high quality work, and a growth mindset.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $125,000 and $273,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
