Utilities Division has an opening for an Environmental Instrument Analyst in their Environmental Services Department. Environmental Instrument Analysts (EIAs) provide initial accidental discharge response, perform sample collection, and maintain/calibrate all continuous environmental instrumentation for all manufacturing divisions and wastewater treatment. When performing sample analysis or tracing the source of accidental discharges, they operate a variety of analytical instrumentation and perform various types of analytical testing. The position requires low to moderate physical exertion and work in adverse weather as needed. This position will work a 12-hour rotating shift on a crew after completion of an initial short training period that works Monday-Friday day shifts, with some overtime required depending on business needs. The Environmental Instrument Analyst (EIA) will report to the Water Monitoring Team Manager of the Environmental Services Laboratory. Responsibilities:
