To be considered for this role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • At least three years in electronics assembly and/or inspection
  • Over one year working in an ESD environment
  • Demonstrated comfort using computers and business systems
  • IPC-610 and IPC-620 Certifications a plus
  • Must be able to accommodate first shift work hours until the required certifications are obtained
  • This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information
  • In accordance with strict Federal Aviation Administration (F.A.A.) regulations regarding Safety Sensitive Work (S.S.W.), employee enrollment & participation in the company's "F.A.A. Drug & Alcohol Program" is a requirement for this position.

As a Functional Electronics Inspector, you will:

  • Be responsible for and capable of the evaluation of purchased hardware and outside supplier processing through dimensional and visual inspection of electronic components, subassemblies, and assemblies.
  • Take precaution against electrostatic discharge (ESD) and will perform inspections to a set of industry standards such as IPC-610, and IPC-620. The inspector will also review and approve supplier submissions of AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) Reports.
  • Document hardware conformances using TIPQA software.
  • Initiate discussions with Buyers, Product Engineers, Quality Engineers, suppliers, etc., to resolve issues as they relate to nonconforming hardware, documentation, etc.
  • Maintain electronic storage of supplier documentation.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $27.00-$32.00 Hourly

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
