Job Description

Job Summary

This role will manage projects as assigned through the Jefferson Collaborative for Health Equity. The Project Manager will lead and implement projects that support key strategic initiatives across the Collaborative that support the strategic mission to reduce health disparities across Philadelphia.

More specifically, this role will support the following areas:

  • Health Education
  • Community Screening
  • Resource Navigation
  • Capacity Building

Essential Functions

  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
  • Provides research and assistance to leadership of the Collaborative in the development and design of new projects.
  • Works with leadership to develop and implement strategy and planning related to the Collaborative's projects.
  • Creates and implements project plan for projects assigned
  • Manages assigned projects including the planning, scope, accountability, deliverables, timelines, and communications.
  • Plans, directs, and optimizes activities, interdependencies, and resources across projects.
  • Assist in the creation and use of measurement activities required to report on project effectiveness, return on investment and other success metrics.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve the quality of projects and program delivery.
  • Acts as a single point of contact for project status. Maintains communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitates and leads project meetings.
  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with Jefferson's core values.
  • Manage project execution from start to finish including tracking progress, identifying issues and mitigating risks.
  • Works on special projects and performs other duties as assigned

PROJECT SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS

  • Works with JCHE and Humana leadership to implement key programming.
  • Leads preparation for funder meetings
  • Leads meetings with key project partners CTG and other activities including agenda development, scheduling meetings and distribution of minutes
  • Works with other project manager to integrate and link projects across JCHE and Humana.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Education:

Master's degree in public health/population health required. Project management training preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 3-years of professional experience in project management or related field. Experience in grant-related activities in a healthcare setting desired. A solid understanding of budgets as they relate to proposals and grants preferred.
