Overview
SUMMARY OF POSITION To keep accurate records to all materials received and inventoried. Inspect shipments, and reconcile packing slips or manifests with actual items, and verify that materials are delivered to correct departments or properly stored in warehouse.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Review all incoming items for quality, ensuring proper paperwork is received.
- Enter all raw materials into the MAS 500 system, verifying entries, and posting transactions.
- Locate and consolidate received materials to a bin location in the warehouse.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure a steady flow of materials needed to meet customer demand.
- Move materials, supplies, and finished goods to designated places in the facility, using hand trucks, forklifts, etc.
- Use of a handheld scanner to track and locate all materials.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of assigned processes and equipment, reporting any issues to upper management or the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Oversee all processes, equipment, employees, safety, and housekeeping in the area while meeting quality and quantity standards.
- Recognize non-confirming goods and to inform Quality Assurance Manager.
- Effective utilization of required systems, including HQMS, Sage 500 ERP/DSCS, and handheld scanners.
- Ensure compliance with established safety protocols.
- Optimize warehouse space for efficient storage and workflow.
- Keep the receiving area organized to facilitate smooth unloading and receiving.
- Fulfill requests from various departments and provide timely information to the Production Department Manager regarding incoming materials.
- Safely store materials, including double and triple stacking or placing in rack bins.
- Communicate and document any damaged materials to the Purchasing Department, including necessary photos and paperwork.
- Compile and submit comprehensive material reports for all received shipments.
- Send out pickup requests for racks including Shurtape, Avery, 3M Consignment, 3M Regular Racks, and IPG.
- Receive RMA's (Returned Merchandise Authorizations) as required.
- Demonstrate flexibility by taking on additional responsibilities to ensure project deadlines are met.
Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience operating forklifts (both sit-down and stand-up model) and other powered industrial trucks, certification preferred.
- Ability to maintain accurate inventory records and work with computerized systems.
- Strong organizational and communication skills; able to work with all levels of staff.
- Ability to use basic math and measuring tools.
- Able to use mathematical formulas for conversions (e.g., mm to m, ft. to square meters)
- Must be able to lift 50+ pounds and work efficiently under pressure.
- Flexibility to take on additional responsibilities to meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work safely in a warehouse environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, light to moderate physical effort is required. Ability to lift or maneuver materials in excess of 50+lbs. Regularly required to stand, reach and move about the facility. WORK ENVIRONMENT This is a fast-paced work environment with consistent pressure to complete duties as outlined above which requires ability to manage multiple projects at a detailed level and provide support to many internal departments in a fast-changing environment. Many duties listed above are time-sensitive and have strict deadlines for completion. Work performed in a Warehouse Manufacturing/Distribution Plant environment.
