Department's Website: The Sr. Director of Development (Sr. DOD) for the Sam M. Walton College of Business (Walton College) will be an integral member of the Division of Advancement reporting to the Vice Chancellor for Advancement and the Senior Advisor to the Vice Chancellor with a dotted line to the Dean of the Walton College. The Assistant Dean for Philanthropy in Walton College is responsible for daily supervision and execution of the fundraising priorities and initiatives to support the Walton College. The Sr. DOD position is embedded in the college and works directly with the Assistant Dean for Philanthropy who leads the effort to advance all college priorities and initiatives. The position requires a dynamic and collegial individual with demonstrated major gift success, experience with donor cultivation, and stewardship programs in a fast and complex environment. In consultation with the Assistant Dean for Philanthropy, the Sr. Director of Development will assist and support the Walton College team in achieving individual and team member metrics, priority initiatives, personally scheduled visits, travel, proposal submissions, and contributed revenue. The Sr. DOD will maintain a portfolio of approximately 125 individuals who reside in Arkansas and outside the state, participate in an effective stewardship program, assist with the dean's development and external relations agenda when appropriate, and support the Walton College's senior-level university administrators, faculty, staff, and volunteer leaders in appropriate activities. Additionally, the Sr. DOD will support Planned Giving for the College, in coordination with the Executive Director of Planned Giving, and support the Arkansas Alumni Association in efforts that involve Walton College constituents. Other duties as assigned Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance and business travel are essential job duties, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
