Laboratory Technician Lv2

Yoh Scientific is actively recruiting for a Laboratory Technician to work a contract assignment in Elk River, MN!

Title: Laboratory Technician
Location: Elk River, MN
Duration: 3-4 month assignment with possibility of extension
Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday; 7:00am - 3:30pm.
Pay Rate: $18 - $21.40/hour

Key Responsibilities

• Complete routine and high-volume laboratory duties to support food safety/quality by weighing samples (corn, grass, finished animal feed, etc.) using analytical balance.
• Typically, samples weigh between 100mg - 5g with sample volume per day of approximately 100 - 150 will be measured.
• Document sample weights in Excel Spreadsheet.
• Must adhere to regulations and other procedural food safety compliance.
• Handle clerical, administrative, technical or customer support issues under general supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
• Ability to read and interpret documents (safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals).
• PPE will be worn including safety glass, gloves and lab coat.
  

Requirements

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Some lab experience preferred.
• Must be hard-working and self-motivated.
• Must have interest in working in laboratory environment.
• With training, must be able to weigh samples accurately and enter the measurements in Excel database.
