Description
Summary: Transports patients to their inpatient bed and/or to and from other areas such as admitting, surgery, therapy or radiology in a safe and timely manner. Retrieves medical records, lab results, supplies and medications as required. Prioritizes duties to facilitate department flow. Maintains and cleans equipment. CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - Westover Hills (CSRH-WH) is a 150-bed hospital serving the fastest growing area of San Antonio. Specialized care includes orthopedic and surgical services, ICU, women's services, a newborn nursery, comprehensive cardiovascular care from diagnostics to open heart surgery, vascular lab, sleep center, emergency services, the CHRISTUS Weight Loss Institute, wound care, rehabilitation, and more. The campus also boasts an Outpatient Imaging Center and three medical plazas, one of which houses our CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Family Medicine Residency Program and CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Family Health Center. Responsibilities: Ensures that established safety procedures are followed throughout the transportation process. Monitors the proper functioning of all transportation equipment on a daily basis. Knowledge of patient safety, basic transportation equipment, infection control processes, clerical skills, excellent telephone etiquette, and good communication and organizational skills.
