Job Title: Sustainability Technical Integration Analyst

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

With the expanded requirements of mandatory sustainability reporting throughout the world, including the EU CSRD and Taxonomy and the California Climate legislation, Owens Corning needs to expand our ability to track and report sustainability information. This requires a transition to new sustainability reporting platforms as well as automation and digitization of sustainability information to drive internal accountability and measurement. The Sustainability Technical Integration Analyst will be focused on the management of the Sustainability reporting systems data integration and the use of the system moving forward. The role will entail understanding the existing internal reporting from our current systems, understanding the needs of our business partners and the sustainability organization, and becoming an expert on our systems and fully utilizing their capabilities.

The Sustainability Technical Integration Analyst must be able not only perform the admin function for the new system but lead the creation of meaningful and insightful reporting, new automation to improve efficiency, backup support, and addition details for analysis, and ensure ongoing data accuracy. This individual must be able to engage both internal and external stakeholders.

Location: Granville Science & Technology or Toledo World Headquarters; open to remote working arrangement as well


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Execute global sustainability disclosure and reporting system development and process improvement



  • Assist in the development of a data governance process while developing and maintaining the rollout of a centralized, global, company-wide management system
  • Review existing Resource Advisor tool to understand what works well and what doesn't work
  • Meet with greater sustainability team to understand data and data visualization needs for the team and the business leaders
  • Partner with software suppliers to learn system capabilities
  • Team with Sustainability Digitization Lead to ensure IT integration follows project timeline
  • Create and implement Data Management Strategy
  • Lead creation of reporting from our system. This includes identifying the needs of the voluntary and mandatory reporting teams, the businesses, and other subject matter experts. Analyst will need to evaluate how to modify Power BI reporting from our existing vendor to replace the inputs from the new system. Analyst will need to partner with the Sustainability Mandatory Disclosure and Reporting Leader on prioritization of report development.
  • Lead data migration and integration and running system in parallel with legacy system
  • Utilize external benchmarking to create best-in-class initiatives in both data collection and analysis
  • Support leadership and other internal stakeholder requests for data and insights
  • Locate and develop new data sources and/or basic analytical models and projects while providing solutions for unstructured data
  • Lead development of automation by partnering with our IT organization and businesses
  • Provide visualization of sustainability and ESG data through sophisticated analytics
  • Perform audits of sustainability records to ensure accuracy of data and effectiveness of standards. Responsible for ensuring ongoing data accuracy and stewardship
  • Support external verification efforts through data analytics and system support
  • Act as primary administrator for the sustainability reporting system



Sustainability Reporting - Lead Horizontally Across the Company.



  • Partner with the Sustainability Digitization lead in developing and deploying relevant training and communications for company executives, leaders and employees
  • Provide expert knowledge in system capabilities across the organization.
  • Develop education and training materials
  • Collaborate with business partners to ensure we provide actionable sustainability information


  • Work with Mandatory Disclosure and Reporting leader to develop rigorous and auditable data quality and control programs including detailed documentation.
  • Work to expand automation/digitization of sustainability information to and from our external sustainability data system and into the businesses to provide consistent sustainability insights and reduce manual effort.
  • Maintain or develop knowledge of voluntary reports while understand reporting frameworks



Thought Leadership In the Market.



  • Develop key relationships with other companies to share best practices and learning while ensuring these practices are implemented
  • Monitor investor community views.
  • Maintain and share expertise through benchmarking, market research, conferences and committees and other sources of learning.



DESIRED EXPERIENCES

Minimum Qualifications



  • 2-5 years of experience in a business analyst, IT, environmental, operations, or Sustainability/ESG analyst role
  • Bachelors' degree (or higher) in mathematics, engineering, science, IT, or sustainability, or a related field that supports this position
  • Passion for sustainability, climate action, human rights, and other principles of ESG
  • Able to travel 10-20% to plant locations, conferences, etc.
  • Experience with financial, sustainability, or other forms of voluntary or mandatory external reporting, or detailed data analysis; or working in technology projects
  • Demonstrated experience with influential or indirect leadership, directing or persuading others who are not direct reports

  • Experience collaborating with 3rd party providers, agencies, development teams

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage time across multiple project areas and deliverable, and ability to execute tasks independently.
