The center's current scope of work includes behavioral health, child health & well-being, health & health care financing, health in all policies, health systems transformation, long-term services & support, population & global health, and rural health. The center conducts, analyzes, and disseminates qualitative and quantitative research to connect decision-makers with the objective research and guidance needed to make informed decisions about health policy and programs. The center is at work locally, nationally, and internationally with public and private partners to improve health and well-being.

ABOUT THIS POSITION
The project coordinator is a member of the administrative team within the Georgia Health Policy Center. The center's current scope of work includes behavioral health, community health systems development, health and health care financing, health in all policies, health systems transformation, long
-term services and supports, maternal health and child well-being, population and global health, community collaboratives and innovations in care, and rural health. This position will work directly with the CEO to provide project and executive administrative support. This position is based in Atlanta.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

Provide executive-level support to GHPCs senior leadership team that includes but is not limited to the following:



  • Executive Leadership Support.
  • Project meeting coordination: coordinate high-level and complex project meetings (e.g., national advisory committees, national special interest groups), including vendor management and contract negotiations to meet project deliverables.
  • Planning and logistics: coordinate and manage all aspects of special events and conferences, including coordination of vendors, speakers, catering, and other meeting logistics.
  • Manages and prioritize CEO's daily voice, written, and electronic communications, including calendar management.
  • Project travel: arrange and manage domestic and international travel for CEO, including itinerary planning.
  • Manage and monitor expenditure requests and payments to consultants, subcontractors, and vendors.


Project Coordination Support



  • Monitor funder reporting requirements for compliance.
  • Provide project support to staff involved in special and sponsor-funded projects.
  • Coordinate special projects as assigned.
  • Provide background research related to proposal development and project support.
  • Coordinate the request for information from stakeholders, elected officials etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.


ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES



  • Executive leadership support experience.
  • Strong calendar and email management experience.
  • Knowledge of computer software packages.
  • Experience in special event planning.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and problem-solve.
  • Ability to work independently.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience; or high school diploma or GED and six years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.


Preferred Hiring Qualifications:



  • Knowledge and experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • The ability to provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients is a must.
  • Must have effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • The ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment is also a must.
