About This Role
The HR Analyst will conduct or supervise the day-to-day HR functions of assigned department(s) within the College of Agriculture/K-State Research & Extension's Business Services Unit. Manage human resource activities relating to recruitments, on-boarding, hiring & separations, payroll/time & leave, and employee relations. Ultimately responsible for all HR functions for the unit(s), hold signature authority for HR documents. Act as the unit(s)' primary contact on higher-level HR matters, working with the HR Leader of the College as needed to resolve issues. Provide smooth workflow, uninterrupted services, and process improvements for HR areas. Consult with managers and employees on HR matters. A brief overview of the primary areas of responsibility for this role include:
- Facilitate and oversee the entire recruitment lifecycle for the unit(s). Conduct, or supervise others as they conduct, recruitments for a diverse set of position types and titles utilizing an enterprise HR software. Manage assigned unit(s) program for any foreign national employment and visiting scholars & students. Provide proactive recommendations for process improvements and efficiencies to the HR Leader.
- Manage/Oversee the hiring/on-boarding & separation/off-boarding program for all employees in assigned unit(s). Responsible for ensuring all HR actions are completed accurately and within established deadlines. Manage the orientation process of all new employees dealing with unique issues and answering detailed questions for managers and employees alike on HR procedures and benefits.
- May supervise other employees in day-to-day operations. Support the implementation and enforcement of the employee relations policies within the assigned unit(s). Ensure all payroll and leave processes are completed efficiently and correctly. Provide guidance concerning HR policies & procedures and K-State handbooks.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Requires a bachelor's degree and one year of relevant experience. This position may use an educational equivalency as determined relevant by a hiring manager.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to learn quickly, determine priorities, take initiative, and work independently.
- Computer proficiency/ability to learn new systems.
- This position uses the Microsoft Office Suite and K-State systems such as Page-Up and HRIS.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability in performing highly detailed tasks
- Experience in recruitments
- Experience with K-State HR processes and paperwork
- Experience responding to needs and requests of a wide range of clients in a friendly and effective manner
