What You'll Do
|
Summary Objective: This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, compliance, and risk management in Deposit Services within the Account Services department. This role ensures the successful execution of Deposit Services and organization-wide projects, maintains adherence to regulatory changes, and acts as a data steward to ensure the accuracy and integrity of reporting. The position also leads quality control initiatives, supports audit and risk management processes, and oversees vendor relationships to optimize performance and alignment with organizational goals. By collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing actionable insights, the position plays a critical role in fostering a culture of compliance, efficiency, and continuous improvement within DCU. Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Ensures that Deposit Services projects and DCU wide projects that involve Deposit Services milestones and goals are met and within budget; works with the Deposit Services Manager on project expectations and roadblocks to drive priorities forward * Monitors and identifies changes in compliance laws and regulations and updates the Deposit Services manager. Ensures all changes are implemented and necessary procedures are updated to support said changes * Acts as a Data Stewart for Deposit Services, ensuring data within reports is properly documented * Identifies and implements processes to perform quality control reviews within the Deposit Services team and provides documented feedback; works with the manager of Deposit Services to implement solutions to resolve * Ensures competent self-testing is complete and documented in all areas and validates the effectiveness of test scripts * Assists with validation testing as needed * Prepares accurate and complete reports on key Deposit Services metrics and provides updates regularly to the manager; identifies trends and makes recommendations for enhancements based on data * Effectively manages vendor relationships to ensure DCU is current with available options and regularly receives feedback on performance. * Responsible for the completion of risk assessments for all vendors owned by Deposit Services and work with the manager of Deposit Services on identified gaps * Acts as key Deposit Services liaison with Shared Services Business Operations and examiners to support management; ensures responses to audit findings are resolved timely and satisfactorily, assists management with solutions as needed * Provides User Access for all systems owned by Deposit Services as required * Manages all audit requests and responses centrally, effectively documenting requests, responses and tracking audits for future reference; ensures deadlines are met * Works with second/third line risk departments to ensure Deposit Services risks are monitored and managed; self- reports Deposit Services identified risks as necessary * Responsible for the approval and oversight of policies and procedures in Deposit Services * Perform other job-related duties as assigned by Managers(s).

What You'll Need
|
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in business management, finance, accounting and/or related area required. Advanced degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years in internal audit or external auditing of financial institutions
- 1-3 years of supervisory experience
- CIA, CPA and/or CISA Certifications encouraged
- Must have a willingness to obtain certifications such as CIA, CPA, and/or CISA or related certifications
- Proven leadership, communication, and human relations skills are essential
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as strong project management skills
- High level of organizational skills
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
