Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
As our Technician Operator, you will act as an Area Leader responsible for owning and riving the production area, including driving adherence to 5S, training of all Production personnel, setting assembly priorities, updating Tier 1 SQDC and hour by hour boards, and maintaining Kanban integrity. You will also ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of complex electronic systems in a product environment and will troubleshoot and repair optomechanical and electronic systems; establishing root cause analysis to reduce or eliminate future occurrences. Additionally, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing optomechanical and electronic components and systems, analyzing electronic schematics and diagrams, and maintaining and updating documentation. This role will be working in a lean manufacturing environment, which requires a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Additional duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Owning production area by driving 5S, cross training, updating production boards, setting priorities for the team, and maintaining any kanban integrity. Acting as the area owner for the AutoChem RMS/Analyzer product line.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety procedures and regulations in the handling of equipment and systems.
  • Assembling and testing components and systems, including soldering and wiring.
  • Programming and configuring electronic systems, such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and human-machine interfaces (HMIs).
  • Testing and validating systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and repairing of optomechanical and electronic systems, including identifying and replacing faulty components and establishing root cause analysis to reduce or eliminate future occurrences.
What You Need to Succeed
  • Associates degree in electronics or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Experience in assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing optomechanical electronic components and systems is required.
  • Ability to read and analyze electronic schematics and diagrams.
  • Ability to use electronic equipment such as meters and oscilloscopes.
  • Ability to read and understand SOPs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6am-2:30pm at our Billerica, MA location.
