Engineering Intern *PC 1447

This is an onsite position based in Waltham, MA. Candidates requiring relocation will not be considered for the position.

Your Tasks:

Design, test, troubleshoot and characterize instrument components and/or microfluidics devices for automated biological analysis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work with senior engineers to design instrument automation mechanism or microfluid devices.
• Create and maintain CAD models and drawings of parts and assemblies.
• Use in-house 3D printer or work with 3rd party vendor for rapid prototyping.
• Plan and conduct experiments for prototype testing.
• Create or modify python scripts for automated testing.
• Document testing processing and result.
• Present result in engineering group meetings.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in CAD software (Solid Edge preferred)
  
• Programing skill (Python preferred)
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software (Words, PowerPoint, Excel)
  
• Team oriented
  
• Work independently
