Job Summary

Restaurant Associates is seeking a dedicated and ambitious Executive Chef to join our world-class team in Brooklyn! Join the vibrant team at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens as our Executive Chef! We are seeking a creative and passionate culinary leader to oversee our kitchen operations, develop seasonal menus, and ensure an exceptional dining experience for our visitors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in farm-to-table cuisine, a commitment to sustainability, and a flair for innovative dishes that highlight fresh, local ingredients. If you are a dynamic chef with a love for nature and a dedication to culinary excellence, we invite you to bring your talents to our beautiful garden setting.

As an Executive Chef, you will compete at the highest level, ensuring flawless execution of all culinary functions for our dining account.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead a team of associates, encouraging an inclusive and collaborative atmosphere.
  • Coordinate and adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Implement cost controls and manage expenditures effectively.
  • Plan and build innovative and enticing menus that cater to diverse clientele.
  • Purchase and manage inventory with precision and efficiency.
  • Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with our marketing and culinary teams.
  • Determine and successfully implement strategies to improve the dining experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Culinary degree preferred.
  • Three to five years of proven culinary management experience.
  • Essential high-volume production and catering experience.
  • Previous experience in managing cost controls.
  • Demonstrated desire to learn and grow with an outstanding foodservice company.
