Summary:

The Governance BI Analyst I collaborates and supports cross-functional teams within the organization to make data-driven business decisions aimed at ensuring compliance and growth in our privacy and data governance ecosystems. This role helps to drive transparent decision making, compliance monitoring, and key performance tracking. This role supports a broad cross functional list of customers, including Legal, Data Strategy, Security, Operations, and Product/Engineering groups. This position has accountability to ensure Cox's regulatory and internal policy obligations to consumers, regulatory agencies, and internal data privacy controls are being met.

What You'll Do:

Responsibilities

  • Work with leadership to define priorities and to deliver against business goals, working both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Build and deliver recurring reports and dashboards to monitor the health of the Cox Automotive Privacy Governance and Data Governance programs.
  • Develop KPIs among stakeholders to ensure operational effectiveness tracking
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand the business and insights that are important
  • Establish baseline targets and goals that can be quantitatively tracked through analytics
  • Design reports and dashboards that visually present the data in ways that enable the findings to be easily understood, even by non-analytics audiences.
  • Review results with various levels of internal and external audiences in a concise and storytelling manner.
  • Maintain reporting accuracy by performing data validation and UAT to ensure data will accurately reflect business activity
  • Manage reporting assets in a centralized location to enable self-service and to reduce overlapping reports.
  • Pro-actively modify existing analyses to efficiently meet new use cases without full rebuilds
  • Pro-actively solves ad hoc analytics requests on an ongoing basis
  • Support the maintenance of reporting capabilities by performing regular metric and query audits
  • Validate data in our reporting systems to ensure its accuracy and to align on business definitions. Document metrics included in each report and their queries and data sources.
  • Must be able to travel by land and/or air for same-day or overnight business trips (up to 5%).
  • Must live within a commutable distance to the office


Who You Are:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; 1-2 years' experience in related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred Major: Business or analytical fields such as marketing, business, economics, finance, statistics, mathematics, psychology, or social science
  • Ability to anticipate stakeholders' needs and recognize the opportunity to provide proactive insights to build tight thought partnership.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively prioritize in a deadline-driven atmosphere with evolving priorities. Flexible working style; ability to switch gears at light speed and thrive in an agile environment
  • Effective relationship building and collaboration skills across teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly and effectively communicate and present findings to stakeholders at all levels. Must be comfortable with translating pieces of analysis results and insights into a cohesive insight story, as well as articulating analytical concepts in a concise manner.
  • Ability to solve problems with creative solutions, not afraid to challenge assumptions and intuitions, knows how to ask the right questions and prove/disprove hypotheses with data insights.
  • Ability to translate requests/questions into actionable tasks with clear timelines.


Tools:

Required:

* Foundational Excel analytics skills, including formula and trending charts development.

* Experience with analytics and related software/platforms.

Preferred:

* Online experience with web / digital analysis and related software preferred (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, WebTrends, etc.).

* Foundational knowledge of SQL-based relational databases (e.g. Snowflake, Netezza, Redshift, etc.).

* Working knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau

USD 54,200.00 - 81,400.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $54,200.00 - $81,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Benefits:

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members.
