What You'll Do: Day-to-Day Operations: Provide daily administrative assistance to the area HR Manager and area field managers regarding employee and labor relations, compensation, benefits, and adherence to employment laws. Respond to requests for information in an accurate and timely manner. Work with local and/or corporate departments in resolving HR policy issues, payroll and benefit questions for a union and non-union workforce. Prioritize tasks and complete each with efficiency and timeliness. Compensation and Benefits: Assist employees in achieving health and financial well-being by advising on all HR and company policies and procedures and providing timely documentation, information, and assistance to employees. Assist employees to ensure their benefits are up to date. Understand and apply contract policies to processes and be able to communicate changes in pay or benefits to corporate partners for system updates. Submit union increases in a timely manner. Maintain Compliance: Support HR Managers and frontline employees regarding company policies, values, and HR program administration (benefits, pay, and salary). Ensure all business and operational policies and procedures are in compliance with all state and federal employment laws and regulations. Be the area point of contact for any compliance related updates for office and field locations. Oversee Documentation: Ensure all HR records are properly and consistently maintained. Prepare and distribute various headcount, termination, and staffing reports. Ensure procedural documentation of assigned processes and procedures is up to date. Ensure all payroll activity is submitted for timely payroll processing. Work with area management on personnel filing needs. Onboarding Employees: Support HR Manager with all new hiring processes, offer letters, pre-employment onboarding activities, including timely union dispatch, and termination administrative duties. Partner with Recruiting: Assist recruitment, and overall strategies related to talent. Communicate the status of candidates throughout the background process and assign start dates in the system. Follow union policies and procedures around the hiring process and documentation. Qualifications
Skills You'll Need: Education: BA/BS in human resources, business, psychology, or a related field is highly preferred. aPHR / PHR or equivalent certification is a plus. Equivalent education and experience will be considered. Experience: Preferred - Minimum of 3 years of HR experience; previous experience in an industrial / construction environment; experience in HRIS, compensation, benefits, and payroll. Integrity and Decision-Making: Must display the highest commitment to ethical decision-making and integrity. Ability to identify and handle sensitive information: Recognizing different levels of confidentiality and applying appropriate safeguards. Communication: Clearly and concisely conveying information to build relationships, resolve conflicts, and foster a positive work environment. Administration and Management: Must possess proficient document-organization skills, including the ability to handle confidential information and materials. Management of efficient files and records is essential. Technology Skills: Must have the ability to be fluent in the use of prevailing technologies (e.g. Kronos, Taleo, PeopleSoft, Cypress, and Employment Screening Services). Must have proficiencies in Google and Microsoft program knowledge. Specific Job Responsibilities:

Salary Range: The base salary range for this role is between $68,000- $82,000 annual salary. This range is not inclusive of our discretionary bonus or equity package. When determining a candidate's compensation, we consider a number of factors, including skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.
