The Graphic Designer supports the brand and visual identity of Legal & General America, through creation of compelling, brand-compliant marketing and communications across all channels and mediums.

You're a creative professional who enjoys a fast-paced, dynamic environment and brings a positive, resourceful and collaborative approach to every project. You'll have a strong eye for overall design, can work within a brand framework, and understand how to optimize web and digital content.

You'll collaborate closely within the marketing team, as well as across the organization to deliver creative assets, with guidance from the Design & Brand Strategist, and the Director, PR, Social Media & Brand.

This is a new role and a unique opportunity to create high-quality content that engages consumers, clients and partners in support of LGA's ambitious growth and brand awareness goals.

Responsibilities
    Creation and maintenance of all marketing and web creative assets:
    1. Ideate and help develop flyers, banner ads, videos, email templates, infographics, reports, animations and web content, in support of LGA's omnichannel marketing initiatives.
    2. Assist with website updates and maintenance to ensure the site is always up to date with fresh, relevant content that is aligned with company growth ambitions.
    3. Act as reviewer for content created by teammates in our CMS publication workflow, making recommendations and edits for content, grammar and design layout.
    4. Help design dynamic content and landing pages for multiple audiences on lgamerica.com, including advisors, prospects and customers.
  1. Brand Implementation and support:
    1. Support brand guideline implementation and adoption across the organization as a brand ambassador within marketing.
    2. Conduct brand compliance review of all new marketing and communication materials, in accordance with LGA's external communication review process.
    3. Help maintain our asset management platform, with current and brand compliant logos, templates, imagery and other creative assets.
  1. Sales support marketing and creative design:
    1. Support distribution and the executive team with compelling, clean internal and external presentations and decks.
    2. Assist field sales and events with sponsorship content, awards submissions and the design of other branded support materials.
    3. Support employee branding initiatives in collaboration with the internal communication team.
  1. Development and execution of social media creative:
    1. Collaborate with the copywriter to develop a wide variety of social media assets (tiles, carousels, videos, animations, etc.) in support of LGA's organic social media presence.
    2. Support in the ideation and creation of paid social media efforts, as part of larger omnichannel marketing campaigns that support our Direct to Consumer, Digital and Traditional BGA distribution segments.
    3. Post all content across LGA social platforms: LinkedIn, X and Instagram
Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree in graphic design or digital communications.

Experience/Knowledge

  • A minimum of 2-5 years of professional experience in digital marketing, content creation and/or graphic design
  • Advanced experience in Adobe Creative Cloud products (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, InDesign and working knowledge of Premiere).
  • Experience with Progress Sitefinity is preferred, with some experience of content management systems essential.
  • Iconography, infographics, and responsive design experience.
  • Experience with Hubspot is preferred. Experience with enterprise email platform is required.
  • Moderate knowledge of HTML. Basic knowledge of CSS is a plus.
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com is preferred.
  • Experience with digital asset management systems.
  • Basic knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Optimize
  • Understanding of principles of SEO, and best practices for digital content creation and web user experiences, including accessibility.
  • Strong new media skills with the ability to articulate creative ideas, concepts and thoughts clearly.
  • A smart, sophisticated and diverse portfolio of brand, web, video and social media work (examples of prior work will be requested).
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of life insurance industry and life insurance product marketing a plus

  • A strong understanding of audience needs and preferences to create engaging and user-friendly designs that enhance the customer or partner experience.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues from diverse experience backgrounds.
  • Adept at giving and receiving constructive feedback to maintain alignment with company brand standards and project objectives
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment, collaboratively sharing knowledge of emerging trends/platforms in the social space.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail in creating and reviewing designs to ensure projects properly reflect brand standards and are compliant with industry regulations.

What's in it for you?

The expected hiring compensation range for this position is $58,100 - $79,850 annually. This will be a hybrid requiring up to 3 days a week in office.

The total compensation package for this position may include other elements, such as a sign-on bonus, long term incentives, and annual bonuses. This role is eligible to participate in the Legal & General America Annual Incentive Plan. The current target payment for the position is 8% of base salary, modified for corporate and individual performance. Bonuses are pro-rated based on start date. This role has 15 vacation days and 10 sick days that are accrued on a bi-weekly basis. Employees also have 9 paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
