What is the opportunity? To assist trading desk globally in all functions of Fixed Income trading, specifically Government and Agency bonds. Support revenue generation, ensure cost effectiveness, ensure operational/administrative effectiveness, and ensure compliance to industry wide-conventions, rules and regulations. What will you do?
- Act as liaison for the trading desk on any trade or settlement related issue.
- Monitor and ensure the timeliness of trade bookings and matching to minimize trading/operational and
- settlement risks
- Responsible for the timely resolution of all breaks between front and back-off trade capture systems.
- Submit bids to the FED on behalf of the Rates trading desk during FED operations via TAAPS or Fed-Trade
- terminal including NPL calculation and process documentation.
- Liaise with the Repo desk when required for funding related issues.
- Real time reconciliation of trade submitted to GSCC.
- Trade execution.
- Encourage accurate TRACE reporting and assist with problem resolution and metrics.
- Compare and confirm voice trades with both internal and external counterparties.
- Monitor and resolve various error queues to ensure proper trade flow to the bank depository.
- Create and maintain analytical reports for trading desk, risk management and compliance.
- Perform UAT testing for new products/trade flows as needed.
- Investigate P&L discrepancies and breaks.
- Manage and ABS & CMBS trade support functions.
- Process MBS margin calls, ensure proper TBA trade matching and netting.
- Allocate MBS trades for RBC's QSG desk as well as one correspondent client.
What you need to succeed?
- Trade support , reconciliation, or equivalent operations experience
- Knowledge of UST securities/treasury auction process
- Working experience with Broadridge ICI, Bloomberg, TAAPS, TRACE
- Series 7, 63, 99 or the ability to obtain.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Team player with strong communication skills.
- Detailed oriented.
- Knowledge of Fixed Income products and settlements
- Able to work in fast paced trading floor environment.

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $85k-$95k depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
