Job Summary
Work with customers and IT teams to develop requirements, maintain application configuration, test, support (issue management, request fulfillment) and provide expert analysis for the PeopleSoft human resources & finance application.
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or associate's degree and 2 years of related experience or high school diploma and 4 years of related experience.
Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or any related field.
  • Minimum two years working experience in performing business analyst's functions including the ability to use requirements to drive the design or review of test cases, process change requests, and manage a project's scope, acceptance, installation and deployment
  • Solid working knowledge of two or more modules in PeopleSoft 9.2 HCM suite specifically with expertise and setup of configuration for:


    • Core HR: Core Human Resource modules to include recruiting, workforce administration, benefits, and compensation, job and position data integration points with other modules, candidate gateway, onboarding, benefit activity, job data entry, position management, and compensation management.

    • Absence Management and Time and Labor: Global Payroll and Absence Management modules, absence rules and regulations, cascading, Time and Labor module, maintaining Rules, end to end understanding of data flow from Core HR, Payroll and Time Collection devices.

    • Payroll & Benefits: Payroll for North America to include payroll processing controls, compensation and earnings, deduction, garnishments, taxes, and accounts payable vendor setup, all phases of payroll processing, post payroll processing, payroll distribution, accounts payable to finance, tax updates, and year-end tax processing. Base Benefits and Benefits Administration, experience with PeopleSoft Benefits, history of helping Benefits Departments create the system/programming solutions needed to meet their requirements quickly and efficiently.

    • Commitment Accounting: Retro Processing, Encumbrance both delivered and custom process.



  • Solid working knowledge of all phases of the application development life cycle specifically business case development, modeling techniques and methods and ability to conduct cost/benefit analysis.
  • Ability to work well with people in all levels of the organization and handle a fast paced, dynamic environment where competing interests and working multiple priorities is the norm.
  • Prior experience with University of Texas Campus preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills, leadership skills, promote teamwork, problem-solving, and understanding of systems engineering concepts.
  • Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint, Project).
  • Strong skills with operating PHIRE, Cherwell or any change management and incident management system.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; including technical writing skills.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more PeopleSoft applications (Campus Solutions, Enterprise Portal, Financials, EPM, and/or CRM) along with HCM and integrating PeopleSoft with non -PeopleSoft Applications or third-party systems.

Strong issue isolation skills; ability to quickly interpret and gather requisite information; solid work organization and process hand-off skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Contribute independent subject matter expertise and execution of assigned tasks including:

  • incident management and resolution
  • request fulfillment
  • solid working knowledge of PeopleSoft 9.2 HCM suite
  • problem management root cause analysis
  • assisting with compiling/review business cases
  • planning and monitoring, eliciting and organizing business requirements
  • translating and simplifying business requirements
  • requirements management and communication
  • analysis of business requirements
  • development of detailed test plans


Collaborate and share knowledge including:

  • demonstrating functionality and expertise to educate internal/campus customers
  • documenting and sharing tools, tips and knowledge within and across teams
  • provide content/develop communication to external end users

Contribute knowledge and process improvement including:

  • posting and reviewing with internal/campus customers helpful documentation for SME
  • recommendations for process/procedure improvements
  • Project management

Other functions as assigned.

  • Position location will be discussed during the interview process.
  • Location can be Fort Worth, TX or Richardson, TX.
  • Hybrid remote work environment available. A UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement is required upon employment.
  • Must have the ability to be on Richardson campus with 48 hours of notice.
