Position Purpose
|
The Enterprise Data Analytics (EDA) division at Renown Health oversees the analytics lifecycle to identify, analyze, and present relevant insights that drive administrative, clinical, and financial decisions and anticipate opportunities to achieve a competitive advantage. The Manager of Data Analytics is responsible for managing the lifecycle of analytics products and frameworks that bridge the gap between data and impact in operations and clinical care. This role ensures that analytics support aligns with business needs, regulatory requirements, and emerging healthcare trends. The Manager provides strategic oversight, leadership, and direction within the EDA division, and leads the team(s) responsible for data and technology management that support and enable Renown Health processes, including business partnership, data integrity, data acquisition, statistical modeling, reporting, analytics support, and applied data science. In addition, the Manager of Data Analytics provides actionable insight on how to deliver the best possible data and analytics customer experience by recommending and implementing enhancements, streamlining processes, implementing quality controls, and proactively monitoring the performance of data and analytics systems/applications.

Nature and Scope
|
This role is designed as hybrid. Primary Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Communication
- Mentor and grow a high-performing data science and analytics team that is collaborative, results-oriented, and focused on building strong stakeholder relationships and addressing business needs.
- Synthesize complex analyses into clear, compelling narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Present updates and future initiatives to executive stakeholders, aligning them to Renown & EDA's key imperatives and strategic plans.
- Drive a culture of curiosity, ownership, and excellence across the analytics organization.
- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices, continuously enhancing analytic capabilities.
- Remain aligned and engage in active collaboration with EDA leadership and managers.
- Strategy and Planning:
- Define product vision and roadmap for operational and/or clinical healthcare analytics solutions.
- Align analytics solutions with business and clinical goals to enhance decision-making.
- Support prioritization and planning of business needs, working jointly with Sr. Analyst/Domain Leads and business and clinical stakeholders.
- Partner with engineering and architecture leads to ensure decisions on data and technology direction are made collaboratively.
- Business Support & Delivery:
- Develop and foster strong relationships across business operations and clinical units, ensuring alignment between analytic capabilities and stakeholder needs.
- Work closely with stakeholders to identify challenges, frame analytical solutions, and deliver insights that drive and support business decisions.
- Act as a trusted advisor, helping teams to frame business questions in a way that analytics can effectively address.
- Define KPIs to measure the effectiveness of analytics products over time.
- Operations:
- Ensure seamless integration of analytics products with existing healthcare IT systems.
- Monitor performance and user adoption of data assets, implementing improvements as needed.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulatory requirements for data privacy and security.
- Provide data advisory and execution for executive-level dashboards and operational improvement efforts.
Incumbent Must Possess:
- Demonstrated strong domain knowledge with expertise in payer/provider health analytics and business functions specifically in areas of administrative and clinical operations.
- Bachelor's degree in analytics related field. 7-10 years of relevant experience required.
- Five plus (5+) years of healthcare domain preferred.
- Analytic team management/lead experience.
- Demonstrated ability in the application of Lean thinking, continuous improvement, and change management.
- Solid understanding on applications of advanced analytics, including statistical analysis.
- Ability to support the development of analysts for Intermediate/Advanced data visualization, automation, and programming skills (e.g., SAS, SQL, R, Python, Alteryx).
- Experience working with IT partners or automation strategies to deploy production-level analytic solutions.

Education:
|
Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English. Minimum bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, public health, or related discipline (Master's degree preferred).

Experience:
|
Required 5-8+ years' experience in analytical role using or leading teams to conduct predictive analytics, advanced statistical techniques, and modeling. 5+ years required in the healthcare industry. Experience using SQL, R, Python, and/or other statistical programming or software to develop analytical solutions and associated visualization platforms (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).

Ability to obtain one of the following certificates within 12 months of hire: * Alteryx Designer Core * Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate Must stay current on new version certification as applicable.
