Position Purpose







The Director of Analytics is responsible for leading data-driven decision-making across Renown Health by developing and implementing analytics strategies and solutions. This director ensures data integrity, supports operational and clinical initiatives, and enhances business intelligence to drive efficiency, improve patient outcomes, and support strategic goals. The Director will lead a team of data product managers and analysts across primary, acute, and ambulatory care as well as health plan operations.







Nature and Scope







The Director of Analytics collaborates with executive leadership, clinical teams, and operational departments to provide actionable insights that enhance performance, quality of care, and financial sustainability. The position requires expertise in data governance, predictive analytics, and the ability to translate complex data into meaningful information to support decision-making.

Strategy & Planning:



  • Define and implement analytic strategy in alignment with system-wide strategies defined by the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Establish data governance frameworks and policies to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Lead strategic and operational planning for Renown's data analytics practices, focusing on meeting business needs and requirements through data functions.
  • Identify opportunities for the organization to further leverage data and improve its economic, competitive, and operational positioning.
  • Coordinate with IT and platform leaders to support requirements and implementation.
  • Understand and manage the customer service
  • Understand and monitor the regulatory and security requirements for data related to the industry in which the organization operates; ensuring compliance and proper protection occurs.
  • Understand the different business requirements for data (marketing, finance, operations, etc.).
  • Lead management reviews and opportunity assessment processes that identify improvement opportunities related to: process efficiency, cost savings, business model expansion, and competitive advantages.



Data Insights:



  • Coordinate and facilitate consultation with stakeholders from the business and other sources to define business and process requirements for data solutions.
  • Analyze healthcare trends, patient outcomes, and operational efficiencies to inform decision-making.
  • Approve, prioritize, and manage the Renown data analytics portfolio.
  • Implement predictive analytics models to forecast patient care needs and resource allocation.
  • Provide real-time insights and dashboards to support clinical and administrative leaders.



Operational Management:



  • Oversee the integration and management of analytics platforms and data warehouses.
  • Collaborate with IT and data science teams to optimize system-wide data accessibility.
  • Ensure alignment of analytics initiatives with regulatory requirements and care models.
  • Ensure continuous delivery of data services, through governance, service level agreements, and performance management.

Education:



Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Health Informatics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field required (Master's degree preferred).



Experience:




  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in healthcare analytics, business intelligence, or data management.
  • At least 5 years in a leadership role with direct oversight of analytics teams.
  • Experience working within a large, complex healthcare system, including hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities.
  • Proficiency in analytics tools such as SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization platforms.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, CMS reporting, and value-based care analytics.
