Job Title: Program Manager

Location: Sherwood, OR

Pay range: $65-$75/HR

Company Overview: Our client is a leading utility company in the PNW. As a forward-thinking organization, they are focused on delivering sustainable energy solutions, and they are now seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to oversee and lead critical strategic projects.

Position Overview: Our client is looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead large, complex, and high-priority projects and programs that are pivotal to the company's ongoing growth and operational excellence. This role will require you to manage a dynamic team, including internal stakeholders and external vendors, while ensuring all project goals, budgets, and timelines are met. You will be responsible for driving project success from inception to completion, collaborating with multiple stakeholders, and resolving any dependencies or risks along the way.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead and deliver large, complex strategic projects and programs, ensuring results are achieved according to business objectives.
  • Manage a project/program team, including other project managers, internal resources, and external parties.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, budgets, timelines, scope, and deliverables using established project management tools and templates.
  • Collaborate with other project managers and stakeholders to resolve inter-project/program dependencies and ensure alignment.
  • Analyze and track project costs and budgets, making adjustments as needed to ensure financial control.
  • Create and maintain a project operating model, working closely with key stakeholders and steering committees to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Define resource needs and negotiate with resource managers to secure required personnel.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, ensuring vendor schedules, costs, and deliverables align with the overall project plan.
  • Establish and maintain a project risk log, proactively addressing issues and escalating as necessary.
  • Manage project change control processes and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation for all phases of the project lifecycle.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of project and program management theories, models, and techniques.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large, mission-critical projects/programs across diverse industries.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present and engage with all levels of the organization.
  • Analytical skills with an ability to solve complex problems, think critically, and maintain strong attention to detail.
  • Skilled in facilitating meetings and handling difficult conversations with tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to build and maintain credibility across different levels within the organization.
  • Understanding of business process improvement and change management practices is a plus.
  • Master's degree in business, technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • PMI or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive project management leadership experience.
