Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented ServiceNow Configuration Engineer with expertise in CMDB (Configuration Management Database) to join our team. This role will focus on managing, maintaining, and enhancing the CMDB to support accurate and reliable configuration data across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB and a collaborative approach to working with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:



  • CMDB Management & Maintenance:


    • Manage and maintain the ServiceNow CMDB to ensure accuracy and reliability of configuration items (CIs).
    • Perform regular audits to validate the integrity of CMDB data and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
    • Implement and maintain data reconciliation processes to reduce discrepancies.


  • Configuration & Development:


    • Design and implement ServiceNow CMDB modules and workflows to meet organizational needs.
    • Configure and manage Service Mapping to support strategic objectives, ensuring critical services are properly mapped and monitored.
    • Develop and customize forms, dashboards, and reports within the ServiceNow platform using drag-and-drop functionality and other native tools.


  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:


    • Work closely with IT operations, application owners, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, define standards, and ensure successful CMDB utilization.
    • Provide guidance and training to internal teams to enhance understanding and usage of the CMDB.


  • Incident Management Support:


    • Collaborate with incident response teams to ensure CMDB data supports root cause analysis and incident resolution.
    • Maintain platform stability and usability by addressing issues and managing system updates.



Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience, or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience managing and configuring ServiceNow CMDB, including Service Mapping modules.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes, specifically around Configuration Management and Change Management.
  • Technical knowledge of ServiceNow platform capabilities, including form building, dashboard creation, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.


Preferred Skills:



  • Experience with Discovery and Event Management applications within ServiceNow.
  • Knowledge of Performance Analytics and report implementation in ServiceNow.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience in creating technical documentation and training materials.


Candidate will be a Hub employee in Minneapolis, Madison or Omaha.

The full salary range for this position is $98,400 - $168,600. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data. In addition to base compensation, this position may be eligible for incentive plan compensation in addition to base salary.
