2025 Groton SHIP Summer High School Intern Program - Carpentry
Overview General Dynamics Electric Boat is proud to offer an 8-week paid internship for high school students interested in Carpentry at our Groton facility. This program provides a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience and technical knowledge within the shipbuilding industry. Program Highlights Mentorship: Interns will work under the guidance of a trained mentor from their respective union. Hands-On Experience: Interns will learn to use various tools and techniques essential to carpentry in shipyard operations. Professional Exposure: Opportunities to observe production processes and interact with skilled employees in the carpentry department. Interns will be enrolled in the union during their employment. Qualifications Requirements
Must have completed junior year of high school.
