Opportunity at a Glance

The New Student Liason plays a pivotal role in welcoming new students to Adtalem Medical institutions. You'll collaborate closely with the Graduate Admissions team to ensure a seamless experience for admitted students, from the moment they accept their offer to their arrival on campus. In this fast-paced environment, you'll: Become a trusted advisor for new students: Build strong relationships with incoming students, addressing their questions and concerns. Be responsible and accountable to new students arriving to Island and starting their first semester. Champion exceptional customer service: Utilize excellent communication skills to provide informative and responsive support via phone calls, emails, SMS, and online portals. Drive new student success: Partner with colleagues across Admissions Operations and implement initiatives like student ambassador programs, welcome webinars, and orientation support to foster a positive onboarding experience. Embrace continuous learning: Actively participate in new student initiatives and contribute to ongoing process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Streamline admissions process for new students, ensuring efficiency and timely enrollment.
  • Provide exceptional communication via calls, emails, and SMS, adhering to SLAs.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with accepted students, fostering a positive transition to campus life.
  • Manage student conversion processes, guaranteeing adherence to timelines and expectations.
  • Author clear and informative responses to student inquiries, addressing questions comprehensively.
  • Partner with admissions and support teams to ensure a smooth student onboarding experience.
  • Maintain accurate student records and documentation, upholding data integrity.
  • Utilize MS Office suite and other relevant software to facilitate daily tasks.
  • Proactively identify and resolve student concerns, promoting a positive and supportive environment.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by offering suggestions for process optimization.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree College degree in a relevant field Preferred
  • 2+ years Experience in student onboarding or success (e,g., higher education, healthcare) Required
  • Experience in the higher education industry Preferred
  • Experience with customers moving abroad Preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adept at tailoring messaging to diverse audiences.
  • Strong relationship-building abilities, fostering trust and rapport with incoming students.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all tasks.
  • Proficient in organization and time management, handling multiple priorities effectively.
  • Problem-solving skills to address student concerns and navigate challenges efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced team environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and learning agility to adapt to new software.
  • Customer-centric approach, prioritizing student satisfaction and a positive onboarding experience.
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude, fostering a welcoming and supportive environment.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and improvement, seeking ways to optimize processes.
Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $18.7 and $32.86. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
