The UWO Counseling Center has an opportunity to join a talented, supportive, and fun counseling team in serving our amazing Titan students. Our counselors provide individual and group counseling, wellness and psychoeducational services, crisis and case management, consultation, outreach, and training. Working in a college setting with students who are open and invested in their wellness is one of the best mental health work environments. Provides professional mental health counseling and consultation services for the campus community, incorporates a brief therapeutic model to address the emotional and behavioral needs of students, creates developmental programming to increase healthy lifestyle and coping behaviors across campus, and advocates for strategic university mental health policy and initiatives.

• Provides individual therapy and crisis intervention to students struggling with developmental and/or personal mental health issues and refers students to community resources as needed.
• Facilitates skill-building and process-oriented groups.
• Provides on-call coverage on rotating basis during operating hours.
• Prepares presentations and outreach activities and facilitates student adjustment and success programs to promote a healthy campus.
• Opportunities to oversee areas of coordination within the counseling team and serve on multidisciplinary campus committees.

• Master's Degree in mental health related field.
• Ability to be fully licensed in the state of Wisconsin within one year of employment.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Risk assessment and treatment experience.

• PhD in mental health field preferred.
• Fully licensed in the state of Wisconsin.
• Previous employment in a college counseling center.
• At least four (4) years post graduate work in a mental health setting.
