About the McGrath Outpatient Pavilion: Located in Hillcrest, the McGrath Outpatient Pavilion is a state-of-the-art, 250,000-square-foot medical facility designed to meet the growing healthcare needs of our region. Spanning six floors, this advanced facility is home to key clinical programs and offers specialized diagnostic, treatment, and surgical services. With a strong emphasis on cancer care, we are committed to delivering world-class medical services in a patient-centered environment.

DESCRIPTION

Under general supervision, the Lead Storekeeper participates in and may oversee the ordering, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing and shipping of medical devices and related materials and supplies for clinical inventory areas. Researches cost, quality and availability of goods. Issues and ships medical supplies. Evaluates supply needs, reviews utilization reports, consults with hospital staff in planning the range and quantity of items needing stocking. Manages stock in a manner accepted by the medical industry. Ensures sterile products are handled correctly. Other lead duties as assigned. Job standards are to be performed at the EXPERT level.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Required to hold valid driver's license and have a driving record that is in accordance with local policies/procedures.
  • Three (3) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of storekeeping best practices.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of receiving, requisitioning etc.
  • Experience using an MMIS.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic calculations.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with vendors and customers.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • Two (2) years minimum experience in a hospital storehouse.
  • Previous experience working with Nursing leadership to create or establish par carts.
  • Supervisory experience or experience making supervisory level decisions in the absence of leadership.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
  • Must be available to work weekends, variable days and hours, holidays, and occasional overtime.
  • Ability to bend, squat, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
  • May be required to work at multiple sites (Hillcrest and La Jolla hospitals, CALM, KOP, and Rancho Bernardo locations).

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $58,861 - $79,198 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $28.19 - $37.93

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
