Responsibilities

  • As an Operation Support Specialist, you are responsible for providing support for complex communications product solutions (data, voice, IP, etc.) for MasTec. You believe in doing the job right. Being the best. And you're up for the challenge.

    In addition, you will:

    * Upload job attachments, design, as-builts, permits, and job-related emails into Remedy and P2

    * Review issuance package to ensure it includes all relevant and necessary documentation and requirements

    * Review close-out package to ensure the job meets client specifications for job completion

    * Maintain job tracking and communicate any risks or issues affecting the jobs

    * Assist in preparing job closing package

    * Lead daily huddles to review current pipelines of jobs

    * Assist in training and coaching of level 1 and 2 Construction Support Specialists

    * Co-conduct client meetings with Coordinators and Supervisors to review job statuses

    * Assist with client interfacing and crafting clear communication on job statuses and potential risks to jobs

    About You:

    * Safety is a part of your day to day

    * You have a track record of completing work with a high level of quality

    * You have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to your work

    * You are looking for long-term projects

    * You enjoy getting your hands dirty with your team

    * Possess 2+ years of experience supporting the operations of a construction department required

    * You have previous administrative experience in Cable TV strongly preferred

    * Proficiency in evaluating job documentation for accuracy

    * Possess strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word) required

    * You have strong attention to detail and organizational skills

    * Able to prioritize work and manage time effectively

    * You have demonstrated leadership skills

    * Possess a valid driver's license

  • You have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to your work
  • You have the ability to work on multiple projects at once
  • You can read and understand maps, drawings, and diagrams for the project build process
  • You have proven strong analytic/problem-solving skills
  • You have excellent verbal, written, phone, and interpersonal skills and have sales experience related to construction projects
  • You are proficient with Microsoft Office products (with an emphasis on Excel)
