Application Window Open date: February 20, 2025 Next review date: Friday, Mar 7, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Thursday, Aug 20, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description Sneddon Lab - Junior/Assistant/Associate/Full Specialist The Department of Cell and Tissue Biology is seeking a highly motivated full-time non-faculty Academic Specialist to join The Sneddon Lab. Selected candidates will be appointed at the level of Junior, Assistant, Associate or Full Specialist depending on qualifications. The Department of Cell and Tissue Biology (CTB) is a basic science department within the School of Dentistry. The department was established in 2005 and includes 15 faculty with primary appointments and five faculty with secondary appointments. Additionally, the department is home to numerous postdoctoral fellows as well as graduate students in programs ranging from Biomedical Sciences, Tetrad and Biophysics to Developmental & Stem Cell Biology and Oral & Craniofacial Sciences. Faculty research interests include cell biology mechanisms relevant to cytoskeletal dynamics, development, metabolism, cancer, immunology and neurobiology. Description: Additionally, the specialist will be expected to assist with managing day-today lab operations, perform general lab duties, and act as a supportive and positive lab citizen. A 2-year commitment is preferred. Depending on performance and workload, opportunities for independent research, mentorship of other trainees, and scientific writing will be available.
