You will be joining the Verizon Consumer Device & Product Organization's Next Gen Solutions Team focused on creating new digital capabilities that will delight our customers and grow revenue. Specifically, you will lead efforts to improve our implementation strategy and processes for our Products and Portfolio. You will help define and maintain a process wherein capital and operational executions are handled with transparency and efficiency at both the working team and executive levels. You will standardize readouts on expenses, returns on investments, proactively flag deviations from our budget and/or funding gaps, and support 3-5 year planning strategies for our Products and Portfolio. Responsibilities:
Building and maintaining an expense roadmap for our Products and Portfolio. Developing a methodology to track Portfolio CapEx and OpEx activity over time with standardized readouts that ensure transparency across teams. Proactively communicating key expense updates to our wider team and escalating trends that could lead to incremental funds or gaps in budgets. Working with Product Managers and their teams to gather prior years' expense data for record-keeping, analysis and historical learnings. Contributing to 3-5 year planning strategy meetings for Products and Portfolio. Working cross-functionally to support successful alignment to CapEx and OpEx targets during key Product and Portfolio initiatives, including new product launches, product refreshes, promotions, and campaign support. Investigating unexpected deviations in CapEx or OpEx to find and leverage insights that can be applied to future Product roadmaps. Building and maintaining partnerships with fellow product & platform owners, as well as product marketing, finance, business intelligence, engineering, experience design and channel operations teams across the Consumer business at Verizon.
What we're looking for...
A strategic thinker with a strong commercial background to lead, design, and deliver strategy. Detail-oriented while being able to comprehend the complete picture. An ownership mindset and ability to operate in ambiguity. Passionate about customer experience. Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and gain alignment in a matrix management model. Effective oral and written communication and presentation skills up to c-suite level executives.
You'll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience. Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
MBA or Advanced Degree in Marketing, Finance, Statistics, Economic or related discipline. Experience with Agile project management process and writing user stories, defining product requirements. Experience in building financial models for business cases and working with key stakeholders and prioritizing tasks. Experience in working with consumer market research teams and analyzing data insights. Experience in conceptualizing, designing, delivering, maintaining, and evolving digital products and/or experiences. Experience in Go-To-Market activities. Experience in Go-To-Channel activities. Strong communication skills and comfortable making executive presentations.
