POSITION SUMMARY:

The Specialist, Social Media Content Creator, is responsible for conceptualizing, producing, and publishing engaging social media content. This role plays a crucial role in shaping our brand voice across our social channels and growing our online community. The ideal candidate is a natural storyteller with a deep understanding of social media trends, strong visual and video skills, and a passion for content that resonates. This position is responsible for ideating, creating, and coordinating the approval of platform-native social content that aligns with the brand strategy and responds to current trends. This role also involves contributing to creative and strategic brainstorms, developing breakthrough content, iterating on content based on testing and learnings, and participating in monthly strategy calls to discuss content planning and strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Content Creation & Design:
    • Create and edit compelling, high-quality organic and paid social content (images, videos, graphics, etc.) tailored for social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and others as needed (focus on Meta & TikTok). Ensure content drives engagement and keeps brand top of mind across the ever-evolving social media landscape.
    • Ideate, create, and coordinate the approval of platform-native social content that aligns with the brand strategy and responds to current trends.
    • Develop on-brand visuals and copy that align with the company's voice and messaging.
    • Stay up-to-date with social media trends and incorporate them creatively into the content.
    • Video Production & Editing.
    • Plan, shoot, and edit short-form video content optimized for social platforms (e.g., Reels, TikToks, Stories).
    • Maintain a quick turnaround time on video projects to capitalize on trends and maintain engagement.
  • Social Media Strategy:
    • Contribute to social media strategy development with visual/creative insights from social media trends and insights.
    • Perform social listening across Meta & TikTok to identify relevant creative trends to develop and execute content that allows the brand to be top of mind for our community.
    • Visually transform brand social media strategy via creative execution.
    • Analyze platform performance metrics and audience insights to inform content creation and strategy.
    • Report on key metrics, insights, and recommendations for content improvements.
    • Regularly contribute to creative and strategic brainstorms to develop and execute quick-turn content in partnership with Senior Manager, Community & Culture, Brand Communications team, and Creative Strategy team
    • Participate and sometimes lead 'Writer's Room' sessions with Community & Culture Team, Brand Communications Team, and Creative Strategist, to brainstorm and develop engaging content ideas, ensuring alignment with brand voice, trends, and audience interests.
    • Iterate on content based on testing and learnings from managing brand-specific social channels.
    • Participate in monthly strategy calls to discuss content planning and strategy.
    • Test and implement new creative optimization tools like GMV Max, an automation solution for TikTok Shop Ads.
    • Ensure all content developed is on-brand and supports broader marketing and communications goals.
    • Contribute to measuring content performance and analyzing data to optimize future content creation.
  • Other duties as required.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience supporting corporate/professional social media.
  • Deep understanding of all social media platforms, particularly Instagram and TikTok.
  • Active participation in health and wellness/movement communities on these platforms is a plus.
  • Experience in creating original and remixed social media content, including short-form video, preferably in the movement space.
    • Original: Capturing/shooting video and/or photography.
    • Remix: Working with existing footage and/or photography to create remixed assets.
  • Proficiency with in-app editing tools across platforms, including TikTok and CapCut.
  • Comfortable using in-app tools to create original content, such as filters, sounds, and visual effects.
  • Comfortable creating content that features yourself, including showing your face, hands, and speaking to the camera.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Strong creative and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to learn and use project management tools like Monday.com, Airtable, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passion for health, wellness, and movement.

This position will be either a remote or hybrid role based on the selected candidate's geographic location. Preference will be given to applicants who live within a commutable distance of Bridgewater, NJ, Chicago, IL, Palm Beach Gardens, FL or Long Island, NY.

Theapproximate payrange for this position is $50,000 to $75,000.Please note that thepay rangeprovided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
