DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Business Analyst 1 with PennDOT, you will be an integral force in driving system changes for the Driver and Vehicle Services management team. You will confidently collaborate with IT and business staff to enhance the REAL ID applications, expertly resolve discrepancies, conduct in-depth statistical data analysis, and execute rigorous program testing. Your role entails managing analytical tasks for various applications, meticulously documenting process changes, and leading testing initiatives to optimize driver licensing and vehicle registration systems. You will develop comprehensive testing plans, analyze results precisely, and communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure the flawless operation of the State-to-State and REAL ID systems. Furthermore, you will proactively investigate user-reported issues, document your findings thoroughly, and partner with business areas and vendors to implement impactful enhancements. As the primary contact for troubleshooting, you will deliver exceptional help desk support while upholding the highest customer service standards. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining seamless operations and driving continual improvement.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
  • You may be required to work during full-day and partial-day office closings.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree

Other Requirements:
