Location: Pickstown, SD Duration: 14 Months Job Description: We are seeking a PC Technician to join our team in Pickstown, SD. The ideal candidate will provide second-tier support to end-users for PC, server, mainframe applications, and hardware. Responsibilities include: * Offering support for issues unresolved by first-tier help desk support. * Interacting with network services, software systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore service and identify core problems. * Simulating or recreating user problems to resolve operating difficulties. * Recommending systems modifications to reduce user problems. * Maintaining a high level of technical skill in the field of expertise. * Escalating more complex problems to Senior Level. Key Responsibilities: * Software installation and configurations. * Providing technical, operational, and training support to users of personal computers either by telephone or on-site. * Installing and testing personal computers, printers, and other peripherals. * Configuring operating systems and loading application software programs. * Troubleshooting printer, computer, and peripheral incidents. * Performing hardware and software diagnostics and coordinating needed repairs. * Resolving computer system problems, including coordination between users and components of a local area network. * Participating in the evaluation of system configuration and software. Required Skills: * 3-5 years of experience in desktop support. * CompTIA A+ certification. * High School diploma. * Active secret government security clearance. * Experience supporting Windows 7, Windows 10, and MS Office 2013. * Experience using Remedy or a similar ticketing system. * Strong analytical and follow-through skills. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to coordinate and get cooperation from multiple areas within IT to accomplish assignments. * Ability to work well independently on defined tasks and as part of a team. Desired Skills: * Experience maintaining Lexmark, HP, or Ricoh printer devices. * Prior experience in a DoD environment. * Experience supporting Office 365. Additional Information: * Must obtain appropriate DoD 8570 IA Computing Environment Certification within 6 months of employment. * This position requires an active secret clearance and the ability to work on-site in Pickstown, SD. Pay Rate: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
