The Program

Mallinckrodt is offering an 11-week internship program, which provides an immersive experience in the world of pharmaceuticals. As an MNK Intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful and impactful work that compliments the degree you are pursuing. Here, you will be able to apply what you've learned in the classroom to a corporate environment. In addition, our internship program is designed to include networking opportunities across the company, professional development workshops, and community service.

Summary

The QA/QC Intern is responsible for completing small projects in support of the Quality Department at the Port Allen, LA manufacturing facility. The purpose of this position is to provide learning and development opportunities for an aspiring professional while supporting continuous improvement efforts within the organization. These activities support the goal of reliably and demonstrably providing safe and efficacious products to our patients and customers with the assurance that such is conducted in compliance with applicable government regulations and guidelines as well as with company policies and procedures.

Essential Functions

Play a key role in continuous improvement projects and training development.

Report statuses and final results of project(s) to appropriate leadership.

Example projects may include:

  • Evaluating instrumentation capabilities

  • Execute comparability studies

  • Perform qualification testing

  • Reorganization/indexing of crucial company documents

Minimum Requirements

  • Current student (rising Junior or Senior) pursuing a bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, arts, or mathematics (STEAM).

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; interpersonal skills; and organizational skills; attention to detail

Organizational Relationship/Scope:

  • This position reports locally to the Quality Assurance Manager with a dotted line to Quality Control Manager.

  • This is a temporary position which may work collaboratively with Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials Management, Quality Control, and Quality Assurance functions.
