Your Opportunity as the Analyst, Compensation

You will support the administration of compensation programs and practices in alignment with The J.M. Smucker Total Rewards Strategy. You will provide analytical support for a variety of compensation policies and programs. You will lead the compensation survey management process.

Location: Orrville, OH (Close proximity to Cleveland/Akron)

Work Arrangements: Hybrid ~30% in office presence

In this role you will:

  • Conduct compensation job evaluations

  • Create offers for new hires and internal employee movement

  • Manage salary structures, including geographic differential review process

  • Complete and manage compensation survey submissions

  • Maintain survey data and Smucker data in our third-party survey management tool

  • Support analysis of job data to ensure market competitiveness

  • Assist in executing the annual compensation processes. Serve as a key contributor to Workday testing to support these compensation processes

  • Provide compensation data and reports as needed

  • Handle a variety of compensation-related tasks in Workday

  • Respond to audit inquiries and provide SOX documentation as needed

  • Maintain all Workday compensation training and reference materials

What we are looking for:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • At least 1 year of compensation or financial analysis related experience

  • Experience with Microsoft tools and applications

  • Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality and sensitivity to compliance-related matters

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

  • Knowledge of standard business practices and professionalism in a customer service environment

  • Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts

Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role (not required):

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

  • Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (Workday)
