Balustrade Area Worker

Your main responsibilities

DECKING ASSEMBLER



  • Check production sequence sheet to determine unit(s) to build.
  • Read work order to determine type of unit and drawings required for production.
  • Read and interpret blueprint to determine exact decking specifications.
  • Use material pick list from work order package to requisition raw material for production.
  • Cut decking to correct length to allow a secure fit to escalator.
  • Clean and grind decking edges to give a flush fit.
  • Drill holes for inner decking to allow the insertion of screws to secure decking to escalator.
  • Apply double-sided tape to outer decking to allow secure attachment to escalator.
  • Cut fasteners to correct length to secure outer decking to escalator.
  • Perform pre-work, in-process and post-work quality check to ensure quality control compliance.
  • Complete all SAP inventory transactions; complete all paperwork as necessary.
  • Perform all tasks as necessary, assist in other areas as needed.


FLOOR PLATE ASSEMBLER



  • Check production sequence sheet to determine unit(s) to build.
  • Review work order to determine type of unit and drawings required for the production process.
  • Use material pick list from the work order package to requisition raw material for the production process.
  • Retrieve parts from bins located in workspace to have needed parts available.
  • Check blueprints for measurements and tolerances to ensure exact specifications are met.
  • Assemble necessary parts to boards (i.e. sound coats) to attach parts to allow escalator to work properly.
  • Drill holes into boards to allow boards to be securely attached to the escalator.
  • Load processed boards onto pallet to allow easier transport.
  • Pull hardware needed for unit as specified on work order to allow representative tin the field to have correct hardware for final assembly.
  • Complete all SAP inventory transactions; complete all paperwork as necessary.
  • Perform all tasks as necessary, assist in other areas as needed.


SKIRTING ASSEMBLER



  • Check assembly line and/or sequence sheet to determine unit to build.
  • Pull work orders, variable package and assembly drawings.
  • Check bill of materials to determine parts needed to assemble skirting set.
  • Operation of Taylor Winfield Spot welder, Printing , Beading & Seaming Machine and TRW Nelson Stud welding machine.
  • Shearing and/or beading of skirting panels.
  • In process quality checks: destructive testing of weld fusion, stud appearance, skirting panel squareness, width of bead on skirting panel.
  • Selection and shearing of C-profile per B.O.M.; observe for flatness and positioning.
  • Complete and inspect using quality check sheet attachment different styles of skirting sets.
  • Complete all SAP inventory transactions; complete all paperwork as necessary
  • Delivery of skirting sets to required areas.
  • Perform all tasks as necessary, assist in other areas as needed.



BALUSTRADE ASSEMBLER



  • Check production sequence sheet to determine unit(s) to build.
  • Review the work order to determine the type of unit to build and the drawings required for production.
  • Read and interpret blueprint to determine exact balustrade specifications.
  • Use material pick list from work order package to requisition raw material for the production process.
  • Measure and mark material to identify location of drilling/cutting.
  • Cut and drill material to process material with correct specifications.
  • Countersink to allow bolt head to be flush.
  • Attach hardware (if required)
  • Bag processed material (if required) to protect product from being scratched or otherwise damaged.
  • Complete all SAP inventory transactions; complete all paperwork as necessary.
  • Perform all tasks as necessary, assist in other areas as needed.


DECKING ASSEMBLER



  • Wrap decking and put on shelf to keep decking and parts together.
  • Deliver decking to next assembly area, via hand, to allow the assembly process to progress.


FLOOR PLATE ASSEMBLER



  • Deliver processed parts to next area, via forklift, as identified on routing sheet to allow production process to continue.


SMALL PARTS SORTER/ BALUSTRADE ASSEMBLER



  • Deliver parts to next area, via forklift, as identified on work order.
  • Identified on routing sheet to allow production process to continue.


  • Check email daily and relay messages to others in department.
  • Perform inventory cycle counts weekly.

What you bring

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or Equivalent - Manufacturing experience a plus

Language Ability:

Blueprint reading and interpretation, Measurement knowledge

Math Ability:

Proficiency in mathematics

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to read and understand required documents

Computer Skills:

SAP system knowledge a plus

Certificates and Licenses:

No certifications needed.
