Biomedical Electronics Intern

The intern works side-by-side with the Biomedical Electronics department staff to gain key insights and learning related to the inner workings of the team. They will complete assigned projects and activities and assist staff as requested by the leader to increase the intern's professional experiences and knowledge while supporting Bryan Health core values.

PRINCIPAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

11. Performs other related projects and duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

In addition to the principal job functions, the following duties are also required in the Addendum Area/Specialty noted above.



  1. Under general supervision, assists in repairs and preventive maintenance of medical equipment.
  2. May assist with low voltage electronic installations, repairs and maintenance.
  3. Document activities and updates records in the CMMS system.
  4. Interacts with manufacturer representatives to obtain the necessary technical product information.
  5. Requests repairs and orders necessary parts according to established protocol.
  6. Assists in special projects as needed.
  7. Performs other duties as assigned.



REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:



  1. Knowledge of basic electronics and/or medical equipment.
  2. Excellent skill in analytical thinking and problem-solving.
  3. Skill in attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  4. High School diploma required.
  5. Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.



EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalency required. Must have a 2nd year standing in an Associate's degree program or at

least a Junior standing in a Bachelor's degree program. Previous experience in the assigned area preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
