Position description

The Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of California, Irvine invites applications for the position of tenure-track Assistant Professor of Teaching Series. We welcome applications from candidates across all areas of physics and astronomy. Preference will be given to candidates who have an active interest in applications of machine learning and AI in physics and astronomy and are willing to engage with educational activities related to those topics. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. degree or equivalent in physics or astronomy and is expected to participate effectively in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level.
