About the role:

Our Senior Project Manager is the cornerstone of our project, ensuring seamless coordination of daily project delivery. They foster a collaborative team environment, oversee project financials, and build strong client relationships for our assigned FIS client.

What you will be doing?

  • Develops, defines and executes project plans, project scope, activities, schedules, budgets and deliverables.

  • Manages the project work plan and holds the team and project resources accountable to variances in budget and hours.

  • Possess thorough understanding of estimation, letters of agreement, master service agreements, staffing model, average bill rates and cost structure by level.

  • Interacts with sales, systems engineering, product development, and other members of cross-functional teams.

  • Coordinates activities and tasks among project team members, other internal departments and client or vendor/subcontractor organizations as needed to meet project goals and ensure project completion is on schedule, within budget constraints and of the appropriate quality standards for the project scope.

  • Manages project risks, issues/problems and activity progress to ensure project goals, e.g., deadline, scope and quality are achieved. Assists with problem resolution or risk mitigation as needed.

What you will need:

  • Project Management Experience: 5-7 years of recent experience as a client-facing Project Manager Lead in the banking sector, with a focus on payments or Fintech industries. This includes managing project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.

  • Client-Facing Roles:5-7 years of recent experience in client-facing Project Management roles. This involves managing client relationships, understanding their needs, and ensuring their satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Complex Projects: 5+ years of recent experience managing multiple, complex projects simultaneously. This includes handling high-priority projects and ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

  • Leadership and Team Management: 5+ years of recent experience leading and motivating teams. This involves managing team dynamics, resolving conflicts, and ensuring that the team works cohesively towards project goals.

  • Technical Proficiency: 5+ years of recent experience with project management software including tools like Microsoft Project, Jira, or Trello.

  • Some flexibility in hours on occasion

Added bonus if you have:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)

  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)

  • Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)

  • Experience managing multiple, complex projects

  • Knowledge of Canadian rules and regulations
