Summary of Position

We are seeking a driven Project Manager for our building services team. The Project Manager will be responsible for running projects in the Central PA market. Previous knowledge with self-performed concrete, framing, and finishes is highly preferred as well as a familiarity with all trades involved in building construction.

A successful candidate shall have a minimum of five years of commercial building related project management experience, along with an Engineering or Construction Management degree or equivalent background with applicable experience.

Typical Responsibilities / Essential Functions

  • Read and interpret complex construction documents and drawings.
  • Review, organize, maintain, and process contract documents and shop drawings.
  • Originate and/or review, submit, log and distribute RFI's and the RFI responses
  • Develop and maintain project schedules.
  • Work closely with operations to optimize field staff and construction means and methods.
  • Must be willing to direct and enforce job site safety.
  • Oversee field supervision and assist in monitoring job site quality.
  • Responsible for submittals and project documentation.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors and material vendors.
  • Interface with clients to effectively communicate progress of the project and manage contractual obligations.
  • Maintain client relations as needed for repeat business.
  • Acute attention to detail and experience with deadlines pursuant to schedule as well as coordination of phasing orsequencing of work.
  • Daily travel may be required, overnight travel is not anticipated.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • A four-year degree in engineering or construction management.
  • 5 years of experience as a project manager in the commercial building construction sector.
  • Knowledge of local area and clientele.
  • Proficiency in Primavera (P6) is required.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Strong computer skills are required.
  • A willingness to learn is required.
  • Knowledge of both OSHA safety regulations is preferred.
