The Maintenance Planner installs, maintains, and repairs mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment. Works alongside maintenance personnel and machine operators to take in or provide input and suggestions for equipment and tool changes. Communicates down machines and project status with management. Communicates with outside maintenance services. Familiar with email and search engines.

  • Perform a wide range of general building and equipment maintenance, such as piping, welding, general electrical, carpentry, and metal fabrication.
  • Fabricate simple tools.
  • Performs repairs and preventative maintenance on selected equipment as required.
  • Enters and keeps work orders updated. Resolves maintenance issues in a timely manner and communicates concerns to the management team.
  • Communicate with outside services, vendors, and contractors as needed.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment as necessary.
  • Maintains and replenishes spare parts inventory, orders tools and supplies.
  • Exercises good housekeeping in Maintenance department, 5S plus Safety practices.
  • Disassemble, repair, and rebuild equipment (Mechanical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic).
  • Install, move, setup, and level new/relocated equipment.
  • Identifies problem areas and safety hazards and works with the management and safety teams and associates to resolve.
  • Ensures compliance with OSHA, EPA, and Parker regulations.
  • Support and assist other maintenance personnel as directed by department supervisor.

Education required:

Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D equivalent required

Experience:

Experience with electrical work, wiring, and welding preferred

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Excellent math and measuring skills necessary
  • Sound decision making skills
  • Strong trouble shooting skills
  • Mechanical and maintenance experience required
  • Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, helpful
  • Be able to exercise continuous mental, visual and audio attention
  • Good organization and PC skills
  • Effective communicator

Skills/Competencies:

  • Ability to read and use complicated drawings, diagrams, and specifications
  • Use of electrical hand tools and associated electrical measuring devices.

Physical Requirements:

  • Exert 25 to 80 pounds of force seldom, and/or
  • Exert 10 to 25 pounds of force sometimes.
  • Exert up to 10 to 25 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly.
  • Stand, walk, push, pull reach overhead and bend to the floor.

Ability to work well in a team environment
