Staff Accountant Location: Carlsbad, CA Our client, a growing medical device company, is seeking a Staff Accountant to support its expanding accounting team. This role is ideal for someone eager to grow, with a strong foundation in AP and AR, and looking to develop into a full-cycle GL role over time. Key Responsibilities: Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes. Assist with journal entries, cash management, fixed assets, and leases. Support month-end and year-end close processes. Help with inventory and fixed asset roll forwards. Work on ERP systems and contribute to process improvements. Assist in implementing new IT systems to create efficiencies. Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting operations. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 1-2 years of experience in or supporting an accounting department. Hands-on experience with AP and AR. Strong attention to detail and ability to pick up new systems quickly. Preferred: Experience with ERP systems and journal entries. Familiarity with cash management, fixed assets, and lease accounting. Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics, Concur, or similar tools. Work Environment & Growth: Reports to the Controller, working closely with the Senior Accountant. Opportunity to take on 60% of the Senior Accountant's workload and grow into a full-cycle role.
