Sales Engineer

A sales project engineer in fabrication may work with customers, sales, and fabrication departments to develop and sell products. They may also provide technical support to customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cost Estimation: Ability to cost estimate a fabrication project with drawings
• Reverse Engineer: Produce drawings by measuring and reverse engineering products
• Customer interaction: Meet the needs of the customer by asking effective questions, supporting their project, overseeing pilot installs, documenting results to get to the best final product
• Technical support: Provide technical support for products, including operation, maintenance, and customization
• Product development: Work with various stakeholders to develop a long-term strategy on Stoughton's optimal product offering for fabrication solutions.
• Project management: Oversee fabrication projects from conception to finalization.
• Collaboration: Work with sales, design engineering, manufacturing, & legal

Skills and experience:

• Strong technical knowledge of products and their functions
• Understanding of scientific processes
• Proficiency in software such as SolidWorks 3D and AutoCAD
• Experience with Microsoft Office products
• Ability to interact with customers and decision makers

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or business

Technical experience or training:

• Sales experience
