DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clerical Supervisor 1, you will be responsible for the supervision and direct management of all staff within the UCC and certification section to include hiring, training, conducting performance evaluations, establishing productivity standards, and navigating disciplinary actions. You will also participate in application processing and review which entails evaluating and processing a variety of business entity applications such as UCC, corporations, nonprofits, LLCs, general partnerships, charitable organizations, and more. You will review for any discrepancies, ensure information is accurate, and determine whether or not applications are approved. Significant attention is directed towards ensuring processing times and customer service goals are consistently met.


Excellent customer service and communication skills are vital, as you will be communicating with the public (in-person, phone, email, written correspondence), resolving escalated customer issues, and assisting bureau leadership with special projects and requests. This professional is also responsible for preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports, as well as assisting in gathering data for special reports and presentations including the Corporation Bureau Advisory Committee (CBAC).

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Clerical Assistant 2; or
  • One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
